Meeting Topic: General business meeting. Discussions topics consisted of resolving a disagreement with a board member, a conflict with potential new member, and two existing members with one member purchasing a new business which may conflict with the other member. A suggestion was made to form a committee of non board members with one chairperson and 3-5 rotating group members to resolve rules of conduct when a disagreement arises…so it’s not the continuously the same decision makers. The members in attendance were in favor of continuing with our non competing clause in our bylaws, modeling us after other successful national and local business referral groups.
Attendance commitments are a minimum of seven meetings in a quarter. The second quarter began on April 1st. Members should have attended at least 3 meetings by next Wednesday.
