Guest Speaker: Miguel Posada – Sierra Vinyl Signs. Miguel can make a sign or banner for your business or event out of acrylic, vinyl, or wood. They can do graphics for your car for advertising also. Sierra Vinyl Signs is a small family owned business. Being a small business is a positive for their customers since there is no breakdown of communication, which can happen in larger firms. They can quickly produce what you need, the way you want it. Sierra Vinyl Signs is located behind Rojos, but is planning to move to a new shop by this winter. Carolyn Phillips is updating our website with our newest members and has contacted each of them by e-mail. If any of our businesses has a promotion or event you would like to advertise, or if you would like to link your website blog, forward the information to Carolyn and she will post it on our website.
Our website has been updated with a new coupon tab uploaded with current coupons which can be printed in an individual PDF format! Check it out! http://www.tahoebusinesses.com We are also adding a Face Book feed and a community donations tab.
Old Business: The coupon book deadline is “this Wednesday”. No additions or changes will be allowed after Aug. 10th due to timely advertising for fall specials. Carol e-mailed our group on Friday August 5th a form to get to Sherri at Max Designs on, or before Wednesday the 10th for additions or changes to your coupon, or directory information.
The group decided perforating coupons would be to expensive so a suggestion was make to put a scissor sign for cutting in the top corner of each coupon instead.
Next Meeting: Guest Speaker, George – Tahoe Computer Solutions. Following week, Scott Mara – Good Dog.
Business of the Week: Cardinale Way. Next week – Paradise Real Estate. (We had a glitch and are now back on schedule). Starting in October our newest businesses will begin being featured as Business of the week.

Guest Speaker: Gina Beal – The G Team, Property Maintenance. Gina along with partner Gill started their business as friends in the year 2000. They do lawn care, snow removal, and anything on your honey-do list. For second homes they will do security checks, check your thermometers, take the trash out on garbage day, for $25 each occurrence. They can perform seasonal contracts, month to month, or they will access a one time job, such as, Clearing your driveway before you return from winter vacation. The G team is all about team work, taking care of each other, which is why they enjoy being members of LTBRN. Take care of the team, and they take care of you. Call for a quote at 530-541-4837.
New Business: New members were voted in. Welcome Steve Kolesnik – Tahoe Carpet Care & Upholstery cleaning, and Carolyn Phillips – Kizme Tech website development.
The group voted on dedicating $750. of our budget to community donations. Determining what type of venues we want to pursue needs to be discussed and voted on.
Old Business: The deadline to add new, or change any information to the next printing of our coupon book/directory is Wed. August 10th. Please contact Sherri Hughes at phone # 530-544-1569 or e-mail her at maxdesign@att.net. If Sherri does not hear from members with existing ads before the deadline, your coupon expiration date will be extended for 6 more months. Larry Marlow will speak on the costs of perforating the coupons at the next meeting.

Guest Speaker: Don Elston Investigations. Don’s work is always interesting. He can help you with collections, surveillance, background checks, and serving. Don has affordable rates for collection starting at $60 and the fees can be tacked on to the collection amount you are collecting from the debt. Don is licensed in California. Investigators often use each other’s help for out of area cases. Don uses the computer program IRB for investigations, a comprehensive program which can search in all states, dates, and records. Next Meeting: Speaker will be Gina from the G-Team and our new web site optimizer Paula Peterson will be introduced. We will be voting on two new members. 1 – Don Ewing – Cakes on the Lake a wholesale bakery and retail located on Hwy 89 and 12th street, he is open 7 days a week. 2 – Carolyn Phillips – Kizme Tech a website development group who helped design our website also Paradise Real Estate’s.
