Guest Speaker: Sherri Hughes – Max Design. Sherri brought a gift basket prize drawing which contained a gift certificate, chocolate, and a bottle of wine. Our guest Brandy Ledbetter won it. Sherri became a full time graphic designer 8 years ago in Brookings, OR. She has worked in Portland, Cresent City, and Seattle since 1987. Sheri has always loved art. When she first started out she worked for a news paper called Belleview Journal. Now Sherri also does web site design. When she designs logos for your company she not only gives you it in color but also in black and white! She makes sure you get all logo file types, especially an EPS file, so you can size your logo, and it will not have a pixilation problem using a minimum of 300 DPI. She also makes a 200 DPI logo for newspaper advertising. Sherri designs everything from wine labels and book covers, to flyers and business cards. If you would like to set up an appointment with Sherri, she is available at firstname.lastname@example.org
New Business: Paula Peterson spoke to our members about Face Book. A discussion took place that Face Book is a place to give, not a place to take. Promoting the benefits of becoming a member of our group, thanking each other for referrals and posting a welcome to our guests and new members are good ideas for the LTBRN Face Book page.
Carolyn can set up a Face Book feed on member websites.
To keep an eye on LTBRN Face Book postings, Carolyn is going to set up a dummy e-mail address, so postings can go to many of our members for comments or deletions.
Maggie from Big Blue Pool spa services was voted in as our newest member. Welcome Maggie!
Next Meeting: Guest Speaker, Robert Klemer Enterprises
Business of the Week: Leticia Hansen – Mary Kay Skin Care and Cosmetics. Next Week: Larry Marlow – Redwood Printing. If you have any business specials to post for an upcoming business of the week please notify Paula Peterson to post on our Face Book Page, and Carolyn Phillips to post on our LTBRN website. Carol, Paula, and Carolyn have a copy of the schedule.

Sierra Vinyl Signs is a small family owned business. Being a small business is a positive for their customers since there is no breakdown of communication, which can happen in larger firms. They can quickly produce what you need, the way you want it. Sierra Vinyl Signs is located behind Rojos, but is planning to move to a new shop by this winter. Miguel can be contacted for your signage needs at 530-318-2917.

Carolyn Phillips is updating our website with our newest members and has contacted each of them by e-mail. If any of our businesses has a promotion or event you would like to advertise, or if you would like to link your website blog, forward the information to Carolyn and she will post it on our website.
Our website has been updated with a new coupon tab uploaded with current coupons which can be printed in an individual PDF format! Check it out! http://www.tahoebusinesses.com We are also adding a Face Book feed and a community donations tab.
Old Business: The coupon book deadline is “this Wednesday”. No additions or changes will be allowed after Aug. 10th due to timely advertising for fall specials. Carol e-mailed our group on Friday August 5th a form to get to Sherri at Max Designs on, or before Wednesday the 10th for additions or changes to your coupon, or directory information.
The group decided perforating coupons would be to expensive so a suggestion was make to put a scissor sign for cutting in the top corner of each coupon instead.
Next Meeting: Guest Speaker, George – Tahoe Computer Solutions. Following week, Scott Mara – Good Dog.
Business of the Week: Cardinale Way. Next week – Paradise Real Estate. (We had a glitch and are now back on schedule). Starting in October our newest businesses will begin being featured as Business of the week.
